Wellbeing Tip!

We all know the importance of helping others. We read many fables and stories as children with this very moral. Of course helping others is important to create a strong community, but helping others can also help you!

Studies suggest that helping others can release dopamine, which will boost your mood and wellbeing. Giving support to others has even been found to lower blood pressure and stress levels!

Below are some ways to give back to your community. These can take 10 seconds or 10 hours - find what fits your schedule!

  • Make a meal for a neighbor or a friend
  • Give a compliment to a colleague
  • Volunteer for a local animal shelter
  • Send a card to friend or family member who lives far away
  • Buy coffee for the person behind you in line
  • Call your grandparents or an elderly relative for a catch up
